A Timeless Southern Wedding
When Brittany told me that her wedding photographer wanted to know if I would be interested in being a second shooter at her May wedding, I was overwhelmed with excitement. I was a huge fan of Lindsey Lissau’s work from the moment I found her website and had recommended Brittany check her out when she started looking for a wedding photographer. I never imagined that would lead to an invitation to shoot at my cousin’s wedding!
When Lindsey and I talked on the phone, I could immediately tell she is one super sweet lady. We ended up agreeing that I would be a third shooter on the wedding day, so that I could still be a guest and enjoy some of the day. I previously shared the getting ready photos I took at the salon the morning of the wedding, but today I wanted to share some of my favorites from the rest of the wedding day. I was so excited to photograph my sweet little cousins in their flower girl dresses, which were made by my mom for Brittany and Katherine, my sister, to wear to our Aunt Diane’s wedding in the early 90s. Updated with lace for Brittany’s big day, the flower girl dresses were just one of many personal and sentimental details that Brittany and Graham incorporated into their wedding.
I did most of my shooting up until it was time for me to grab my seat for the ceremony. At that point, I put my camera away and was a guest for most of the rest of the wedding (although I did take a few shots at the reception!). I absolutely loved working with Lindsey and am so grateful to her for letting me share some of my favorites from Brittany and Graham’s wedding here. Enjoy the gorgeousness! 🙂
