McGill-Toolen Senior Portrait Photography
I feel so old as I sit here putting this post together. I remember when this young lady was BORN! For heaven sakes, where did the time go?! Sarah entered this world only a few days before Christmas 18 years ago. She was only a few days old at the Gelineau Christmas Eve celebration that year, making her first appearance in the extended family photo that year. If you’ve watched the short film on the About page of my site, you know all about my family’s extended family photo tradition.
She was barely school age when I first picked up a camera and, thus, she became one of my “models”. I photographed Sarah and her brother, Nicholas, as much as I could for photography homework assignments and extra practice. They always put up with my desire for “just one more shot” even when they were little. It absolutely blows my mind that she is a senior in high school this year!!! How can she have grown up so fast?
Sarah is graduating from McGill-Toolen Catholic High School (my alma mater) this spring and will head to The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in the fall. I couldn’t be more proud of the smart and kind young lady that she has grown into. She still has that same smile and those same beautiful brown eyes that she’s had since she was a little girl and she will always be the baby girl of us Gelineau girl cousins (there are only four of us girl first cousins!). I’m happy that I’ll be able to be there cheering for her as she walks across the stage to receive her diploma. You can bet that I’ll have my camera with me, documenting every moment.
Sarah, congratulations on everything that you’ve achieved and thank you for such an awesome senior portrait session! I don’t know which of us had the most fun!
