A Black and Gold Inspiration Wedding

I absolutely love editorial shoots and I especially love when they are wedding themed! Earlier this year I photographed this inspiration wedding for Mobile Bay Magazine’s annual bridal issue. This day was so much fun. We had an amazing team of contributors, led by the editorial staff at Mobile Bay Magazine. Publication space is limited in the magazine, so there are many shots that I loved that didn’t make it into the issue. I’m excited to finally share all my favorites here on the blog!

The theme for this shoot was a bit modern. Black and gold accents carried throughout all the details. It created a very sleek feel for the shoot. Some of my favorite details were the florals by Julia Greer Fobes, the beautiful invitation suite by Soiree Signatures, and the AMAZING bridal gown worn by our sweet model, Masha. Seriously, I squealed when they showed me the dress and we were all obsessed with the bow in the back!

This shoot was such a dream thanks to an awesome creative team! Even though we were tired at the end of the day, I was sad to say it’s a wrap on this one. It was just that much fun! A massive thank you to the team at Mobile Bay for asking me to be part of this shoot and to our models – Carley, Tyler and Masha – for being such a JOY to photograph.

We were finished with our shot list when I asked Masha for one more portrait. So often those ending shots turn out to be my favorites!
