From the Archives | Mobile, AL Wedding
As I prep for my first wedding of the fall season, I find myself thinking back on past years weddings. Today I’m opening up my associate archives again to share some of my favorite images from Heather and Andrew’s wedding! Heather and I hit it off from our first meeting. After chatting over coffee and a snack, Heather and her mom invited me to join them in a bit of dress browsing. What girl doesn’t love looking at gorgeous gowns? I didn’t have any pressing appointments that afternoon, so I tagged along since the dress shop was just across the street from where we were meeting.
I felt like I’d known Heather and her mom for years after about five minutes of meeting them. Would you believe that Heather found her dream dress on that very day that we met for her consultation?! It was such a fun moment to be part of and I think we were all surprised that Heather said yes to the dress after just a few minutes of casual browsing!
Heather is also a professional model, so photographing her on wedding day was like being part of a dream editorial shoot. She selected such a beautiful color palette for her day. Everything was so classy and timeless! I’m still in love with her sweeping bouquet and the pastel print bridesmaids dresses!
My Favorite Moment of the Day
This was a day full of beautiful moments, but my absolute favorite happened at the end of the night. We were all gathered outside of The Battle House hotel for the grand exit. The sparklers were lit. The guests were cheering. But Heather and Andrew were still inside saying a few goodbyes. As the seconds ticked away, we started to worry that the sparklers would burn out before we could get the photo! Thankfully, the amazing Demetrious of Storylive Productions rushed inside and called out to them that time was running out!
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bride and groom jump into action so fast! They started running for the exit, determined to not miss their sparkler moment. Demetrious and I stood shoulder to shoulder as they ran down the steps. I’m pretty sure I was holding my breath the entire time I was taking those exit photos! They made it just in time and it was a MAGICAL moment!
The light in this room was ethereal! I love how it caught every detail in the lace.
Heather and Andrew had the most AMAZING vintage car for wedding day transportation! It was a dream getting to use it during portrait time!
How they didn’t spill that champagne is beyond me! Talk about skills!
These photographs have been shared with the permission of my friend Jennie Tewell with whom I worked as an associate photographer for four years.
