A Spring Hill College Wedding

December weddings are always so much fun! The joy of the Christmas season added to the excitement of a wedding day creates such fun atmosphere! Tully and Drew chose the beautiful St. Joseph’s Chapel at Spring Hill College for their wedding, but we did the majority of their portraits at their reception venue, Cotton Hall. I’ve photographed other events at this venue, but never a wedding. Tully wanted to incorporate the giant live oak tree that is in front of this venue into their First Look and I thought it was a great idea! It was the perfect spot for portraits!

I love the cooler temperatures of December. It is such a welcome break from the heat of summer. This day was quite overcast, but I love the cooler tones that the clouds brought to the natural lighting outside. The blue color of the bridesmaid dresses were the perfect winter color! It was a southern December dream for sure!

Despite some crazy fog rolling in, no one wanted this open-air reception to end. The dance floor was full until the last song and then some! Tully and Drew are such a fun couple and their going away car is definitely my new favorite and was perfect for a Christmas season wedding!

I can hardly believe that Christmas is next week! I have a few shoots left to complete before my year is officially done, but I’m definitely going to be spending a little time away from the camera and the computer these last couple weeks of 2019. I’m winding the year down with time planned for family and friends. I hope you’re able to do the same! Wishing you all a healthy and happy holiday season!
