A Fairhope Alabama Engagement
Mary Emma is such a sweet bride-to-be! I knew she would be a joy to work with after five minutes of chatting with her at her consultation. It turns out that she is also the cousin of one of my 2018 brides! I love when I have the opportunity to photograph multiple weddings within the same family. It is such a treat!
We originally planned this session for early spring, but when the Stay at Home orders came in, we were forced to reschedule. On top of that, Mary Emma works in healthcare, so while most of us were hunkered down at home, she was working a very busy schedule! Clay was also working overtime, as his job in construction is also essential work. I am so thankful that we were able to find a new date on the calendar for this session!
Mary Emma suggested we do their session in her neighborhood and I loved the idea! I was slightly familiar with the area, but had never been on this particular street before. I was so blown away by the beautiful spots we had to shoot in! This is exactly why I love shooting on private property! I would have never known about this hidden gem of a location if it weren’t for Mary Emma suggesting it as an option.
On top of having a beautiful location to shoot in, we also had the dreamiest golden hour! I was doing a happy dance in my mind the whole time I was taking these photos. After we finished up in the neighborhood, we hopped in the car and took a short drive to Mary Emma’s friend’s bay house for our second location and ended up getting to see a beautiful sunset. It was the perfect engagement session combination!
