A Little Point Clear Winter Wedding
This Sunday will mark one year ago that Tyler proposed to Stephanie! They had decided to open a couple of Christmas presents early. When Stephanie opened the box Tyler handed to her, she found an ornament inside that said, “Will you marry me?” When she looked up from the package, she saw that Tyler was holding a beautiful engagement ring. Stephanie said it was the most perfect moment and the most beautiful ring she’d ever seen!
After they called their families to share the exciting news, Tyler took Stephanie to her favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner. Unbeknownst to her, he’d arranged for her dad and best friends to meet them there to celebrate. Isn’t that the most perfect December proposal story?! I could totally see why Stephanie described it as one of the best nights of her life.
The first time I talked to Stephanie on the phone, I could tell our personalities were totally going to mesh and she was so fun to work with! I love that she chose a wedding gown that was blush pink and her heels were my favorite shade of blue! The color of her gown was a surprise to everyone – not even her bridesmaids had seen it! I love that as soon as she put it on, her friends were squealing with excitement. “That’s so Stephanie,” one of them exclaimed. Stephanie said when she tried on the dress she immediately knew she loved the pink color. I’m so glad that she went ahead with it because it looked beautiful, especially set against the white backgrounds at Little Point Clear!
While being photographed is not Tyler’s favorite thing to do, he was a total trooper, making sure Stephanie had the portraits she dreamed of at both their engagement session and on wedding day. When it started to rain right after their First Look, they were both so chill and laid back. I was so thankful for the porch at Little Point Clear, as well as the generously sized tent. These two things allowed us to still get soft, natural light portraits even during the downpour!
That’s a Wrap!
This wedding marks my last one for 2020! While I was driving home after Stephanie and Tyler’s reception, I couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief. Back in the spring, I found myself wondering if all my 2020 couples would even make it down the aisle, considering all the unknowns with the pandemic. I’m happy to say that all of my brides did just that and each celebration was wonderful!
If there is anything I’ve learned this year, it’s that moments like these should be treasured more than ever! Even those fleeting moments that can easily be forgotten seem to stand out more. Yes, there are challenges we didn’t have in the pre-Covid world, but there is also a greater appreciation for every opportunity we have to celebrate special moments.
I am so thankful to every single one of my clients, but especially to my couples who have been on this 2020 rollercoaster ride with me. To my brides and grooms, y’all are seriously the BEST and I’m so thankful for all of you! I am also thankful to my amazing team who worked these weddings with me. Stay tuned for more on that in my end of the year blog post! In the meantime, enjoy this preview of Stephanie and Tyler’s beautiful December wedding!
