A Bienville Square Engagement Session
Last year on Halloween, I was photographing Jill and Cooper’s wedding at the bluffs above Fairhope Pier. It turns out that Haley and Aaron were getting engaged at the same time, on the same day, at Fairhope Pier. When Haley told me the story, I told her that we must have barely missed running into each other because we took some portraits down at the pier after the ceremony, just before sunset.
That particular day was a gorgeous one on Mobile Bay. Even though the pier had been damaged from recent hurricanes, Aaron found a beautiful spot, got down on one knee and asked Haley to be his wife! A photographer, who was hidden from their view, captured the moment on camera.
Like me, Haley is a Spring Hill College graduate. She and Aaron are planning a St. Joseph’s Chapel wedding for this fall. I am so excited to have another wedding on my calendar at this church this year. It’s truly one of my favorites!
For their engagement session, Haley, Aaron and I met up in Bienville Square in downtown Mobile. This was my first time shooting at this park since it was ravaged by a hurricane last year. I was so excited to see all the new spring growth on the beautiful oak trees. This Mobile landmark is starting to shine once again and I was so glad we ended up doing the session at this location. The light on this day was so dreamy!
