A Little Point Clear Engagement

Lindsey and Taylor chose to have a destination wedding in Point Clear. Since they were coming in town from so far away, we weren’t able to meet up for their engagement session until they were in town for the wedding! I met up with them the day they arrived at Little Point Clear for their wedding weekend. I so strongly believe in the importance of meeting my couples and getting to have an engagement experience with them that I always say “it’s never too late” to get that session in…even if that means we’re doing it during wedding week.

Having the chance to get to know my couple outside of the hustle and bustle of the wedding day helps me to serve them well. You can really get a good feel for someone’s personality when the environment is a relaxed one, such as at the engagement session. Knowing my couples even a tiny bit before the wedding day means that I can make the best decisions for them in the moment on a wedding day. This is so important because nothing ever goes truly perfectly to plan on a wedding day!

I really loved getting to photograph this session at Little Point Clear because it meant we could really incorporate their wedding venue into their engagement portraits. I knew our time on the wedding day would be split between Little Point Clear and St. Francis at the Point Church, so this really let us highlight the beauty of the reception venue, which doubled as lodging for Lindsey, Taylor and their families over the wedding weekend!
