A Steelwood Chapel Wedding
My love of paper and fine stationery is what first introduced me to Lindsey, owner of Soiree Signatures. At the time, she was sharing an office space with EllenJay bakery. Whenever I went into the shop for a cookie, I would drool over the gorgeous papers and invitations that were in Lindsey’s space of the building. A couple years after I first met her, she asked me to photograph the grand opening of her new shop on South Florida Street. Since that time, we’ve had several shoots together and each one has been full of gorgeous paper details. I seriously drool over every single thing she shows me when I go in the shop for a shoot. Every detail is exquisite!
When it came time to plan her own wedding, Lindsey wanted a simple ceremony with just family and close friends, but she also wanted to throw a big party that all her wedding industry friends could attend (and y’all, does she ever know how to throw a party!!!). The solution was a two-day celebration over Labor Day weekend! On Saturday, Lindsey and Joey exchanged vows at Steelwood Chapel. This was the perfect location for an intimate ceremony! That evening guests attended a delicious sit-down dinner at Crown Hall. The candlelight dinner was such a relaxing way to end the day and gave everyone just a little taste of the party that was to follow the next day.
Every single detail of this day was beautiful, but of course it was the paper details that were the highlight! I was able to photograph all the paper details before the wedding day, which meant I had time to really showcase this beautiful suite, which Lindsey collaborated on with Kimberly Zukley. To say I was obsessed with the lemon design and the gorgeous calligraphy is an understatement! The whole weekend had such a fun and cheerful vibe. The citrus theme perfectly reflected that feeling!
A Sunday Brunch Reception
I couldn’t fit all my favorite photos from Lindsey and Joey’s wedding weekend into one blog post! There are just too many beautiful details that I want to share. I decided to break this wedding post into two parts, so stay tuned for my favorites from the Sunday Brunch Reception that followed this gorgeous wedding day! These two truly got the best of both worlds when it comes to how they chose to celebrate their wedding.
