Maternity Portraits
Wedding season is winding down, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t still a lot going in the world of photography! Mid-to-late summer is a busy season, full of portrait sessions and editorial projects. I love getting to meet up with families to document milestones. For this session, I met up with these sweet parents-to-be at Perone Creek Farm. A stone’s throw from downtown Fairhope, this farm is a beautiful place for a portrait session!
I love shooting on private property because it means we have our choice of portrait spots the entire session. Even though this day was quite warm, a breeze kept the temperatures bearable for the majority of the shoot. Cindy and Allen are preparing to welcome a baby girl in just a few weeks, so I was worried about the heat getting to Cindy during the session, but she said it wasn’t until the very end that she started to feel warm.
It was fun getting to take portraits for Cindy because she and I have previously worked together. However, when we worked together in the past, she was the one scheduling portrait sessions and not the one in front of the camera the majority of the time! I absolutely adored the dress she chose for their session – it was the perfect choice for a mama who is expecting a baby girl!
Perone Creek Farm has an airbnb cottage on property! Find more information about rentals here.
