An In-Home Family Session
My calendar is typically filled with weddings, editorial and branding shoots. But during the hottest part of the summer I take a mini break from weddings to catch my breath and prepare for the fall season. This is the season for writing timelines, consultations with newly engaged couples, and family portrait sessions. I love catching up with families that return to me year after year for an annual portrait session.
I was so happy for my sweet friend, Chelsea, when I found out she was pregnant with baby number four! She and I met up for a walk at the park, with her youngest at the time in toe. I could barely see her baby bump! It’s hard to believe that baby has now arrived. Time truly does fly by!
I had already gotten a glimpse of this sweet nursery from Chelsea’s Instagram feed and I knew I was going to love shooting in the space! What I didn’t see on her feed was the amazing headboard that we used as the background for several portraits. It is my favorite shade of blue and worked perfectly with the pastel color palette wardrobe that Chelsea chose for her family. If you’re not following Chelsea’s DIY blog, you can check that out here for tutorials and inspiration. I hear that one on the headboard may be coming soon!
In the meantime, meet sweet Clara. I know that this little one is going to be so loved by her older siblings! They all took turns holding her during the shoot. It was the sweetest thing ever!
