A Downtown Fairhope Engagement

Lily and Will have been dating for nine years! Their love story goes back to their high school days. To say these two are overjoyed to be getting married is an understatement. I could just tell the minute I met them in person how excited they are to start this new chapter of their lives.

Will proposed to Lily at the Orange Street Pier, so that location was definitely on our must list for this session. I also loved that Lily suggested going to Mr. Gene’s Beans. The shop is a Fairhope staple and is owned by a family friend. When we walked in, everyone was excited to see Lily!

As we walked through the streets, it seemed as if everyone knew Lily. Right and left people were speaking to her and waving. Lily has a lot of love for her hometown and even though she and Will are currently living away from the Mobile Bay area, I can tell Fairhope has her heart forever.

Fun fact, Lily’s mom was actually a teacher at McGill-Toolen when I was a student there. Although I never had her class, I certainly had lots of friends who did and remembered her as soon as she said her name. Thanks to Nancy for playing chauffeur during the session. Having access to a golf cart meant we could get to various locations quickly! I am definitely spoiled with that convenience!

At the very end of the session, Lily suggested going by her parents’ home for a few photos. This hadn’t been in our plan, but I LOVED that she suggested doing this because it personalized the session even more. Lily and Will, thank you for such a fun session. I can’t wait for wedding day next year!
