A St. Ignatius Catholic Church Wedding
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…it’s such a joy to get to work with the same family over multiple weddings. This spring season, I have been reunited with several families that I just love. It’s been such a treat to catch up with everyone and amazing to see how their families have grown!
Natalie and Joseph are both extremely creative people and studied music in school (I believe that properly they’ve majored in voice…my my lack of music knowledge means I probably have that not quite right). Bottom line, the music for their Nuptial Mass was one of their most important wedding details and to say it was exquisite is an understatement!
It’s not often that a Catholic wedding ceremony has an opening hymn that is sung by the congregation. I loved that Natalie and Joseph chose the hymn “O God Beyond All Praising” for the Bridal Processional. Joseph held back tears as Natalie was escorted down the aisle by her father. They had chosen not to see each other before the ceremony and I could tell when the doors opened that Natalie definitely took Joseph’s breath away!
After the beautiful Nuptial Mass, we returned to the Battle House Hotel in downtown Mobile for dinner and dancing. I remembered from Natalie’s sister’s wedding in 2021 that she and Joseph love to dance. I also hoped they’d break into the band’s set at some point and sing…and they did! It was the perfect ending to a fun reception!
