A Bayside Engagement Session

Caroline and Will are getting married this Saturday! They live out of town so wedding week was our only opportunity to meet up for their engagement session. We got an early start in order to beat the heat and it was the best decision ever! Caroline graduated from Bayside Academy. When her mom suggested this location for their portraits, I was excited to visit somewhere new. Y’all, the moss covered oak trees at this location were sparkling in the morning light. Talk about a DREAM!

I had met Caroline and her mom prior to this session, but this was my first time meeting Will. After just a few minutes of talking to him and Caroline at the start of the shoot, I felt like I’d known them for years. They are such an easy-going and joyful couple! I could tell we were in for a fun shoot and I was right.

Caroline told me that at Bayside Academy, they each get their name on a brick after graduation. During the session, we found her brick and I just couldn’t pass up taking a photo of her engagement ring on her brick.

The day of this session it was VERY windy on the bay, so we only stayed near the water for a few minutes. The wind was howling so loud that it made it hard for Caroline and Will to even hear me directing them into a pose for the photo. After a few minutes, we took shelter from the wind and wandered down one of the neighborhood streets near the school. It was the perfect ending to this dreamy morning session!
