A St. Mary’s Catholic Church Wedding

I always love weddings at St. Mary Catholic Church in midtown Mobile. Aimee grew up in this parish, received her other Sacraments there, and taught in the parish school. Needless to say, it was the perfect choice for her Nuptial Mass.

Brenton and Aimee had been living on opposite sides of the state due to work, so when he arrived in town for the wedding it had been a while since they’d been able to spend time together. Aimee told me during wedding week that she was just so excited for Brenton to arrive and for them to be together after so much time apart.

I met up with Aimee and her bridesmaids at an Air B&B the morning of the wedding. Everyone was so chill and calm. Throughout the entire day, everything went according to plan – such a a rarity on a wedding day, but we love it when it happens!

Aimee and Brenton both graduated from the University of Alabama. Brenton was in the Million Dollar Band, while Aimee was a member of the Million Dollar Band Colorguard. Their love of music was evident throughout the wedding day. When we walked into the church, I immediately heard a choir warming up in the choir loft. The music for the ceremony was absolutely beautiful, especially the processional hymn, which led into the trumpet announcing the entrance of the bride.

Later, at the reception, Brenton and his groomsmen (everyone was musically talented) busted out their own instruments and joined the band they’d hired for several songs. It was one of the most fun receptions I’ve ever been to because it was full of so many musical surprises. Aimee, Brenton and their friends sure know how to celebrate! Cheers to the newly Mr. and Mrs. Nash!
