A Spring Hill College Engagement Session
The fall is always an incredibly busy season! This year, I intentionally took fewer fall weddings so that I could accommodate more commercial and editorial shoots. I have been photographing so many fun things, but these types of shoots have to be kept under wraps for a few months, so it’s been quieter than usual here on the blog.
My brides always love the cooler fall weather, but this year our summer warmth held on longer than usual. Many of these sessions felt more like spring sessions than fall sessions. I don’t think I wore a jacket to a single shoot!
I met up with Melanie and Clayton, one of my Spring 2025 couples, at Spring Hill College. Clayton proposed to Melanie in front of St. Joseph Chapel. I loved the idea of returning to the proposal location for engagement portraits. We had the most stunning golden hour light on this day!
Melanie is one of those brides that you feel like you’ve known for years the first time you talk with her. I know many people in her family, as well as some of her friends, so I know that it will be extra fun photographing her and Clayton on their wedding day. These two are so easy-going and joyful, there’s no way they could take a bad photo. I was teasing them the entire shoot because they said they were going to need instruction, but I quickly discovered they were total naturals in front of the camera. Enjoy my favorites from their session!
