A Spring Hill College Engagement Session
As a Spring Hill College alum, I love a good Spring Hill love story! Amber and Christian met their first week on the Hill their freshman year. Three short years later they are planning their wedding day, which will be one week after graduation next spring!
When it came time to choose a location for their engagement session, Amber and Christian immediately knew they wanted to take portraits at Spring Hill. I love photographing couples who love the Spring Hill campus as much as I do. The Avenue of the Oaks is more than just a pretty location. It holds such special meaning for all who go to Spring Hill.
I was so excited that we got some beautiful golden light the day of this shoot because that type of light really makes the Avenue of the Oaks shine! We started our session there and I kept marveling at how nice and quiet it was – such a different level of activity in the summer versus during the school year! In addition to the Avenue of the Oaks, we took photos at some of the iconic Spring Hill spots, including St. Joseph’s Chapel. At the end, we headed up to Viragh Hall, where these two first met, for a few final shots. I love that this location is so sentimental for Amber and Christian! It definitely adds a layer of personality to their portraits!
Even though I was meeting Amber and Christian for the first time on this shoot, they have those types of personalities that make you feel as if you’ve already known them. I loved getting to chat with them as we walked around campus and hearing about their proposal story. Christian proposed while they were on vacation in Disney World with both of their families – talk about a magical moment!
