A St. Philip Neri Catholic Church Wedding

I photograph a lot of Catholic weddings in the Mobile Bay area, but I often find myself at the same churches over and over. I love the classic choices for a Catholic wedding in Mobile. The Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, St. Joseph Chapel, St. Mary’s and Sacred Heart Chapel are all favorites that I regularly find myself visiting on a wedding day.

Once in a while, I’ll receive an inquiry for a church I’ve never been to before and that was the case with Nicole and Tony’s wedding. I’ve passed by St. Philip Neri Catholic Church many, many times, but had never been inside before. Despite it being a smaller church, it had quite a long center aisle, which I loved because it allowed for extra photos of Nicole walking down the aisle with her dad by her side.

Before we headed to St. Philip Neri, the bridal party got ready at The Orchard at Hayes Farm, which was also the location of their reception. I love when we start and end a day at the same location. This really helps keep logistics for the day simple. It also means we get a preview of the reception setup earlier in the day!

We returned to the Orchard in the early afternoon, which meant we had time to slip out of the reception during Golden Hour for some extra bride and groom portraits. While I have many favorite photos from the day, there is one I took during the Golden Hour time that turned out to be my favorite from the entire day!
