A Fall Family Session | Mobile, AL

We love autumn in the south, probably because we are so darn tired of the heat. We love that we can actually walk from our houses to our cars without feeling like we need to go back inside and take another shower. When the heat and humidity of summer finally starts to subside and the temperature highs dip from the 90s to the 80s and 70s, the season for fall family sessions begins. It really is the perfect time of year for updating that family photo. Getting your portraits done early in the season gives you plenty of time to design your Christmas cards without feeling rushed.

This family is seriously one of the coolest families I know. Amy and I have been friends since our days at Spring Hill College and I always have a great time photographing her family. I was delighted when she told me she wanted me to do their Christmas photos again this year and this session was just so much fun.

I seriously cannot believe how much Amy and Daniel’s kids have grown since last year! I’m kinda sad they aren’t babies anymore, but their little personalities are so joyful and it’s so fun being around them. We talked ballet, Star Wars and quite a few subjects in between. Zoey informed me that she is now four-years-old and I loved how grown up she sounded when she announced her age.

I was feeling like time has flown by because I remember photographing Dylan for Amy’s Christmas card back when I was still a novice photographer (scroll to the bottom of this post to see a photo flashback from that session!). Then Amy really blew my mind when she said that this year marks 10 years of marriage for her and Daniel. I remember their wedding as if it were yesterday, so to realize it’s been 10 years is C-RA-ZY!!! Needless to say, I had a ton of favorites from this session. Be sure to leave them some love in the comments below! Enjoy! 🙂

***PHOTO FLASHBACK***

I haven’t browsed through my archives in a while, so I thought pulling out a few oldies might be fun (even if I do cringe at some of my early work). As you can see, this family has been cheering me on since the beginning of my photography journey. These two photos of baby Dylan are circa 2009. Isn’t he adorable?! Such a sweet baby! Thank you Amy and Daniel for all your love and support over the years! <3

Limited openings remain available for fall sessions.
