A Spring Hill College Maternity Session
I absolutely LOVE maternity sessions, but I don’t often get to do them since I’m not currently offering newborn sessions. The two pretty much go hand-in-hand, so I really only get the opportunity to do them for family members these days. Since maternity sessions are few and far between for me, when I have the opportunity to photograph a mama-to-be I really cherish the experience.
When my cousin Amber asked me about doing some maternity portraits for her I was of course super excited and I knew we would have a lot of fun. I seriously can’t believe it’s been less than a year since we celebrated Amber & Luke’s “I dos” and just a year and a half since their engagement session! Baby Ollie is scheduled to make his arrival shortly after Amber & Luke’s first wedding anniversary. Where does the time go??? I am asking myself that more and more as my photography business keeps me busier and busier. I am glad I have photographs to help keep my memory in check!
The day we originally planned to do this session turned out to be gloomy and rainy. Actually, it was more like a monsoon, so we rescheduled these portraits for our backup date. I am SO thankful that we had to change dates because our backup day was absolutely gorgeous. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect…dreamy golden light, a nice breeze and warm sunshine. What more could a girl and her camera ask for?! I’m so excited to share some of my favorites with you today. Enjoy! 🙂
The most beautiful light was streaming through the nursery windows and it enhanced that natural baby glow that Amber has. I was just melting over how amazing the light was. I could not decide which version I liked better of this photo, black and white or color, so I’m sharing both. Do you have a favorite???
I am currently booking portrait sessions into June. Please contact me to make a reservation.
