A Lakeside Portrait Session | Mobile, AL

Did y’all sneeze from the dust I just blew off this little blog??? I feel like I’m saying this all the time, but I really don’t know where the past two months have gone. It all started with Baby Ollie arriving a little earlier than expected. In one weekend I went from second shooting a wedding, to waiting at the hospital until the wee hours of the morning for Ollie to make his big debut, to shooting another wedding, to shooting some magazine assignments, to taking some senior portraits, to shooting more magazine assignments, to gearing up for my cousin’s wedding, second shooting at that wedding and poof! Before I knew it, May and June were gone. The whole two months now a bunch of fleeting moments swirling together. Thank goodness I have the photographs to remember what I did with all that time!

Needless to say, when the 4th of July holiday hit, I took a much needed weekend off to relax and recharge. Now that I’m getting a chance to get back to the blog, I’m super excited to share some recent sessions with y’all. I am always amazed that I am so continually blessed with getting to work with the most wonderful people and I had such a lovely time at this session with the Miller family. They were so sweet and kind and we had such a fun time at their session. I could just feel the love and joy they have for their adorable little boy.

These portraits were in celebration of their little one’s first birthday. When I drove down the long, oak tree-lined drive to their home, I knew we were in for some beautiful portraits because their property is just stunning. We could hear thunder off in the distance for most of the session, but the showers held off until after we were all finished with portraits. This little guy absolutely loves the water, so the lake setting was the perfect choice for their portraits. Check out a few of my favorites from their session. Enjoy! 🙂

I am currently booking sessions as far out as September. If you’re looking to get on my calendar for the busy fall season, now is the time to make your reservation!
