Historic Malbis Nursery Album
I work with most of my brides and grooms for 12 months. From the time they book me as their Mobile Alabama wedding photographer, through the final delivery of their photographs, a whole year has usually passed, sometimes it’s been more than one year. But it seems to go by so fast. I can only imagine what it must be like for the bride and groom! The wedding album is usually the final detail that I deliver to my clients. It is their first family heirloom. It marks the beginning of their story as husband and wife. All the months of work, all the hours shooting and editing, the friendships built with the lovely couples who hire me…it’s all contained in the pages of that book. Every time I flip through my sample album at a meeting, I feel that excitement of the wedding day all over again. I hope this is how my clients feel when they look through their album in five, 10, or even 50 years. I hope they smile, laugh and get a little teary-eyed when they flip through those pages.
I have mad love for wedding albums and always knew that I wanted to deliver an album that I absolutely LOVED, one that I would buy if I were a bride. I’m a very detail oriented person, so the fabric, the binding, and the print quality were all of utmost importance to me. I searched and searched for just the perfect album for what felt like forever. Then I discovered Red Tree Albums and I found that perfect book. As soon as I held a sample album in my hands, I knew it was the album I’d been searching for. It felt like it was made to last for generations!
I’m a girl who loves details and when I get a delivery from the album company, I feel like it’s Christmas morning. I practically hold my breath as I pull it from the box and gently flip through the pages. Rachel and Alex’s wedding album arrived a few days after I’d received my new packaging tags from Soiree Signatures (I’ll share more about these in a future post!). I was so excited to wrap this beauty up for my clients using my new tags, but I paused long enough for a mini photo shoot because I didn’t want to forget what this album looked like!
When I took these photos, it was mostly for archival reference, but then I thought it would be fun to share them here. I just loved how the design, created by Kari with Align Album Design, turned out. I also loved that Rachel and Alex chose the chocolate brown leather cover. My sample album is gray, so it was fun to see an album in one of the other colors! The chocolate brown was also a perfect fit for their fall wedding!
This is probably my favorite spread of the whole album! You would never know it had been pouring only about an hour before this from these portraits!
This is probably my second favorite spread! I love having the exit captured from two perspectives. My second shooter, Debby, took the photo on the top left page. I love that her perspective is that of the bride and groom, while mine is that of the wedding guests!
