A Spring Wedding at The Hope Farm
I first visited The Hope Farm for a photoshoot with Mobile Bay Magazine last year. I knew the minute I arrived that this was a special place. Between the delicious food and the welcoming atmosphere, I also knew this would be a beautiful setting for a wedding or rehearsal dinner. In fact, the day we were there for the magazine shoot, a bride-to-be stopped by for a tour. It wasn’t long after that day that I first talked to Mary Cameron.
I was so excited for my first wedding at The Hope Farm and it did not disappoint! To say we had the most perfect weather for this day is a major understatement. I wish our summers were like the weather we had on Saturday – warm with low humidity and a gentle breeze. Both the ceremony and reception took place outdoors. I love that Mary Cameron and Eric timed their ceremony with the late afternoon. This meant we were able to take “Just Married” portraits during Golden Hour. I was so excited to take bride and groom portraits at this location. It seriously was a DREAM!
The first time I chatted with Mary Cameron she told me that she and Eric were both pretty laid back. She also mentioned she wasn’t too stressed about many of the details as far as wedding planning. When I took their engagement portraits, I soon discovered that these two were every bit as chill as Mary Cameron said they were. I loved their low-key vibe, which seemed the perfect way to describe their bridal party also. Jubilee Suites played host to Mary Cameron and Eric, as well as some of their family and friends for the wedding weekend. It was awesome having the boutique hotel to ourselves!
The Summer Season Begins
It’s hard to believe that Mary Cameron and Eric’s wedding marks the end of the spring wedding season! My next wedding will kick off the summer season and I’m crossing my fingers that the humidity holds off a bit longer. I’m feeling so spoiled after three wedding weekends in May with perfect weather!!! Seriously, the fact that I made it through every single May wedding without encountering rain is a miracle!
The official kick off to summer is next weekend and I’m looking forward to taking a few days off to rest and refresh ahead of a busy month in June! There are a lot more wedding and engagement posts headed for the blog soon! Enjoy this preview of Mary Cameron and Eric’s beautiful wedding and I hope you all have a safe and fun Memorial Day weekend!
