A Sacred Heart Chapel Catholic Wedding
MaryClair, Hayden and I hit it off from the first hello at their engagement session. I had already chatted with MaryClair via the phone, but this was my first time meeting them in person. To say I instantly felt like we were old friends is an understatement. These two are just so laid back and easy to get to know! I knew I was going to have fun working with them on their wedding day, and I was right!
Fun fact, Hayden and MaryClair’s mom actually booked the church for their wedding before Hayden proposed! Knowing that MaryClair always wanted a spring wedding and that Sacred Heart Chapel in Point Clear is incredibly popular for weddings, Hayden decided to pick out a date and get on the calendar before getting down on one knee. It turned out to be an amazing decision because we had the most beautiful spring weather for MaryClair and Hayden’s wedding. Y’all it was perfect…not too hot, not too cold and no rain in sight! Such a DREAM!
MaryClair and I also share a favorite color. When I saw all of her details had hints of blue in them, I was so excited and couldn’t wait to style and photograph them. Everything was so stunning! My favorite detail though had to be her wedding shoes. Such a fun way to incorporate a “something blue” into her wedding wardrobe.
I loved that MaryClair and Hayden chose to share a First Look before their ceremony. This let us get nearly all portraits completed before the ceremony, ensuring we got to the reception much sooner. We did save bayside sunset portraits for after the ceremony because what bride doesn’t want to capture that view at Golden Hour?! Prepare yourself for some dreamy portraits with beautiful Mobile Bay as the backdrop!
A Fox Meadow Farm Reception
We arrived at Fox Meadow Farm for the reception right at dusk, so I was thankful that my second photographer, Regina, had been able to head to the reception site earlier in the afternoon to capture all the pretty reception details. The large white, sailcloth tent, nestled among the trees at the farm, was gorgeous. The colors for the day carried throughout the whole reception. Jenna Laine Weddings and the vendor team for this day truly outdid themselves!
The band had the dance floor full for the entire evening and everyone was having so much fun that they didn’t want the party to end. It was a magical night and it was easy to see how much this sweet couple is loved by their family and friends. Cheers to the newly Mr. and Mrs. Stokes! Enjoy a handful (well, maybe more than a handful) of my favorites from their beautiful day!
