A Little Point Clear Wedding

It was a picture perfect Saturday at Little Point Clear the day of Amber and Christian’s wedding! I absolutely loved working with this sweet couple at their engagement session and have been looking forward to their wedding day ever since! I always say that good people keep good company and that really is the truth! Not only are Amber and Christian super fun to work with, their bridal party was equally as fun to photograph. You could tell that everyone was happy to be together to celebrate!

Amber and Christian are both super low key and easy going, which means that even when the thunder was rumbling a few minutes before their outdoor ceremony was supposed to begin, that they remained perfectly calm. Thankfully, the rain went completely around us and the outdoor ceremony went forward just as planned!

The great thing about having all the events of a wedding day at one location is that it helps things flow smoothly and efficiently. Since there’s no need to travel between locations, it makes it easy to switch things around in the timeline as needed. This is especially helpful in the warmer months because it means I can let the guys and girls swap out for portraits, hopefully letting them cool off a bit between different sets of photos. We were definitely thankful for the bit of bay breeze we had with us on this day because the summer heat is definitely here!

Let’s Dance!

As much as I love dreamy portraits and pretty details, I also LOVE taking candid photos at wedding receptions and this reception had tons of dancing to capture! I loved that Amber, her parents and brothers were on the dance floor almost the whole night. This family clearly has rhythm! Another one of my favorite moments of the night was Christian dancing with his sister, Caroline, to Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline”- it’s always a crowd pleaser, but everyone sang along with extra enthusiasm as Christian twirled his little sister around the dance floor.

We wrapped up the night with a festive exit, but as Amber and Christian jumped in the Little Point Clear bus, she called out to all their friends to let them know the dancing was not over! “We’re coming back,” she exclaimed! And before we even had the bags loaded in my car, Amber and Christian were practically back on the dance floor! There is no doubt these two enjoyed every minute of their wedding day!
