A Bragg-Mitchell Mansion Senior Portrait Session
Y’all the summer rain has been testing my patience, but thankfully it often does clear up just in time for evening portrait sessions! I love the Golden Hour time of the day for how beautiful the light is, but I also love that shooting late in the evening, after thunderstorms have cleared out, usually means it’s also a bit cooler.
It was pretty humid the day of Allison’s senior portrait session and it had been raining all day long. The radar showed a tiny clearing in the rain, so I sent Allison’s mom a text and asked if they could meet me about 30 minutes earlier than planned. It turned out that this was a great decision because we ended up being able to capture some gorgeous golden light that lasted for just a brief time!
Allison is at the start of her senior year of high school at Faith Academy! I love photographing high school seniors at the beginning of their senior year and Allison was such a JOY to photograph! Her personality just shined on camera. She told me that one of my poses reminded her of how they have to walk in marching band – but she typically doesn’t walk that way wearing heels! I have to say, she mastered it anyway!
