A Mobile Botanical Gardens Engagement

I always have a hard time narrowing down favorites for a blog post when I shoot at the Mobile Botanical Gardens! This location is one of my favorites year-round. Best of all, at the start of this session I found out that Katherine and Gregg love plants too. On top of that, they’re also having their rehearsal dinner at this location. Talk about a perfect location choice for their engagement portraits!

I was excited to show this sweet couple some of my favorite spots at the gardens, but when Katherine told me she loves house plants, I knew we had to make the walk up to the conservatory on Magnolia Hill. This greenhouse is full of beautiful plants, including an impressive Staghorn fern. I knew Katherine would love it. Opening the door to the conservatory felt like a grand reveal and was the perfect way to finish up this session.

Katherine and Gregg met via mutual friends when Katherine decided to go to an Alabama game in Tuscaloosa. She says the trip that was something she decided to do on a whim ended up changing her life. I love how easy-going Katherine and Gregg were during their session. Walking around the gardens with them was a treat and the golden hour glow was beyond dreamy!
