A Government Street Presbyterian Church Wedding
I walked into the bridal suite the morning of this wedding having never met Mignone in person. It is so very rare for me to not meet my couples ahead of the wedding day. I felt as if I knew her though from our phone consultation and from the emails we exchanged ahead of the big day.
The minute I walked into the room, Mignone, who was in the makeup chair, greeted me with a big hug. It was as if we’d known each other for years. Sweet Mignone and her lovely bridesmaids were just a complete joy to be around the entire day, but her adorable pup, who joined us for getting ready photos wearing the garter that Mignone’s mother wore on her wedding day, just might have tried to steal the camera spotlight!
Mignone and Sonny reminded me just as we started taking portraits that they don’t consider themselves picture people. However, I would beg to differ with them based on the portraits from this day!
Since they chose to share a First Look ahead of their ceremony, I was able to capture portraits at both the church and Fort Conde Inn. I love when I’m able to put together a timeline that allows for bride and groom portraits at more than one location. It really allows for variety in the gallery, but it also allows for showcasing both venues that were part of the wedding day.
A Fort Conde Inn Reception
It has been a while since I’ve photographed a wedding reception at Fort Conde Inn and I enjoyed being back at this venue. The setting is perfect for a classic downtown Mobile wedding and I love that you get a view of the Mobile skyline from the dance floor. Even though it was cold outside, the band had the dance floor full the entire night!
One of my favorite moments of the day was Mignone and Sonny’s sparkler exit. We had one of the longest sparkler tunnels I’ve had in a while, which is awesome because it lets us get more than one photo of the grand exit moment! I also loved that Mignone changed into her mother’s vintage jumpsuit for their grand exit. I always love family heirlooms and this was such a sweet nod to Mignone’s parents and their wedding.
Congratulations to the newly Mr. and Mrs. Radcliff!
