A Midtown Mobile Engagement Session
Anna and Anderson have the unique distinction of being one of those few couples I get to work with through the entire phase of their engagement – from the proposal, to the engagement portraits, to the wedding day! It so often doesn’t work out to photograph all three milestones that are part of this season of a couple’s life due to scheduling.
I’ve known Anna’s parents for years, but when they arranged for me to take photographs the day Anderson proposed, I didn’t know if it would also work out for me to photograph their wedding. Not long after the proposal, I had the sweetest email from Anna (who was a bridesmaid in one of my 2022 weddings), asking if I was available to photograph their wedding.
At first it didn’t appear it would work out due to her wedding being during a holiday season. Fortunately, she and Anderson are getting married on a Friday and that meant it all worked out for me to work with them as their wedding photographer and keep my family holiday plans!
I love that Anna asked to do their engagement portraits in the neighborhood where she grew up. This personalized their portraits and I especially love that Anna asked to take photos with the porch swing that she and her dad built together during the pandemic lockdown.
Following some porch portraits, we meandered around their beautiful midtown neighborhood, stopping at many spots that Anna and Anderson love. The setting was particularly gorgeous on this spring day and we had the dreamiest golden hour glow!
