A Dauphin Island Engagement Session

It has been an unbearably hot summer. Thankfully, the day that I met up with Anna and Ben on Dauphin Island for their engagement portraits the weather wasn’t too sweltering. I always love starting sessions on the island at Cadillac Park. This park is full of gorgeous oak and pine trees. It offers the perfect opportunity to capture the Golden Hour light streaming through the trees!

Anna’s mom and brother met us at the park with their adorable pup, Mac. Let me tell y’all, he was such a star! After we spent a bit of time at the park, we headed to the beach, making a few pit stops along the way. The light on this day was absolutely PERFECT!

Ben is from Virginia Beach and has always loved spending time around the water. He proposed to Anna at a lighthouse on the beach in North Carolina – presenting her with an engagement ring with an engraving of a lighthouse on the inside. I love that the beach is such a huge part of their love story!

When Anna and Ben chose Dauphin Island for the engagement session location, I knew it was going to be so much fun…but the weather and light on this day made it an absolute DREAM! Narrowing down favorites for this post was SO HARD!
