A Sacred Heart Chapel Engagement

I have known Madeleine’s mom, Stephanie, for a while. She and I have worked together on some commercial shoots over the past few years. When I found out that one of her daughters was engaged, I was so excited for their sweet family!

A couple months before this engagement session, I met Madeleine in person for the first time at a wedding. I love how many of my brides know each other! That’s the best part of photographing weddings in my hometown. I can’t imagine what it must be like to photograph weddings in a bigger city.

During their engagement session at Sacred Heart Chapel, Madeleine was sharing a bit about their proposal story. George surprised her by proposing on his family’s hunting land. He chose a spot that looked out over the whole property.

Madeleine said she didn’t suspect anything was going on and immediately cried as soon as George got down on one knee. They drove back on his four wheeler towards the house where their families were waiting to celebrate. On the way, one of the game cameras on the property captured their joy!

I love that Madeleine and George wanted to do their engagement pictures at Sacred Heart Chapel, where their wedding ceremony will take place next year. We had the perfect weather for a bayside engagement session on this day. The Golden Hour glow was unreal!
