A Bellingrath Gardens Engagement Session

Bellingrath Gardens is truly a landmark in our area. It’s a must visit for many tourists and equally loved by locals. I’ve visited the gardens many, many times over the years and it never ceases to impress me. I was excited when Aimee said she wanted to do their engagement session here, as I knew the azaleas would be starting to bloom and that we were likely to see some of my favorite late winter/early spring flowers, tulips and daffodils. Once again, the gardens did not disappoint!

Two hours at Bellingrath goes by so fast! We didn’t linger in any one spot too long because I wanted to get to all my favorite spots. This day was perfectly overcast and mild, which meant we had soft, beautiful light for the entire session. Talk about a photographer’s dream!

Aimee and Brenton were total naturals in front of the camera from the first photo of the session. I was like, y’all have done this before! Later, I found out that Aimee has a dance background and Brenton is a band director. No wonder these two knew how to work a camera!
