A Point Clear Wedding Ceremony
I first met Anna over a year ago and I remember that meeting like it was yesterday. We hit it off immediately. When it came to wedding planning, I could tell she’d done her homework. I just love an organized bride! This wedding has been on my calendar for a whole year. I took Anna’s bridal portraits right before the whole coronavirus pandemic hit the United States. Even that day, I didn’t anticipate how much was going to change in the coming weeks.
When Anna contacted me about moving forward with getting married on her original date, but with only immediate family in attendance, I assured her I’d be there to capture the memories for her and Michael. Since wedding venues are currently closed, the ceremony location moved to Michael’s parents’ backyard. I photographed a rehearsal dinner in this neighborhood last year, so I knew it would be a beautiful setting for a wedding ceremony. Thankfully, the weather was gorgeous! We all agreed it was a blessing from above.
Yes, things were a bit different from a usual wedding day (hello social distancing!), but Anna and Michael didn’t let the coronavirus steal their joy! I hope that you can get a glimpse of their happiness in these photos. It was radiating from these two the entire hour I was with them. I just adored that their dog, Tank, was their “ring bearer” – seriously, the cutest thing ever! Tears were flowing as these two exchanged vows under the floral covered arbor. While it was a very small gathering in person, many family and friends watched live via Facebook.
After a lovely ceremony, we spent a short time taking portraits. In addition to celebrating their wedding day, Anna and Michael are both celebrating their graduation from Medical School! Their commencement ceremony was canceled due to the virus, so we wrapped up portrait time with some special photos in honor of that major accomplishment!
Congratulations Dr. and Dr. Ulmer! I look forward to celebrating with you once again on the day of your big celebration with family and friends!
