A Bragg-Mitchell Mansion Wedding
I love December weddings! They feel extra festive! I especially love December weddings at The Bragg-Mitchell Mansion because the house is all decked out for the holidays. The addition of the Christmas tree and greenery on all the fireplace mantels is an extra treat!
You never really know what the weather will be like at a December wedding in Mobile, Alabama. Our weather during this month can range from freezing cold, to warm and humid. I know that Katie and Matthew were hoping for slightly cooler wedding weather, but with the highs in the mid 70s and lows in the upper 60s, we ended up with the perfect weather for an outdoor wedding! It wasn’t too hot or too cold. Best of all, there wasn’t a drop of rain in sight!
Katie chose her niece to be her maid of honor and Matthew chose his sister to be his best woman. While I’ve still had a lot of weddings with big bridal parties in 2021, smaller bridal parties have definitely been a trend this year! Since Katie and Matthew did not share a First Look, the smaller size bridal party let us get through post-ceremony portraits quickly and efficiently so that the bride and groom could enjoy a lot of time with their guests at the reception. Dance parties on the front lawn of the Bragg-Mitchell Mansion are the best!
I only have one more wedding to go before the end of my fall wedding season! I cannot believe how fast the second half of this year has flown by!
