A Grand Hotel Point Clear Engagement

Audrey and Spencer drove down from Memphis for their engagement session at The Grand Hotel in Point Clear, Alabama. They were familiar with Fairhope because they have family who live in the area. When it came time to plan their wedding, they decided to look outside of Memphis and it was love at first sight when they visited The Grand Hotel.

I love that they chose to do their engagement session on the property as well. It truly looks beautiful in every season, but I LOVE when it’s spring and the azaleas are in bloom! Since Audrey and Spencer are having a fall wedding, the property definitely won’t have these blooms at that time of year, so it was nice to capture that color in their engagement portraits!

I also loved that Audrey and Spencer brought their beloved pup, Tucker, for part of their session. Tucker is just about the sweetest pup I’ve ever met and was so chill for all his photos. Audrey said Tucker is a big teddy bear and loves nothing more than to sit in her lap, which he attempted to do for several photos. Haha!

Midway through this session we stumbled upon a movie set! I had no idea that Hallmark was filming a movie at the hotel, but as we were walking around we noticed large lights set up, which made me wonder if an event was about to happen. By the end of the session, we actually saw the filming of one of the movie scenes. I’ve never had something like that happen on a session before. It was neat to see everything in action, but, at the same time, I was so glad they weren’t using the area where I wanted to take photos!!!

This was an absolutely gorgeous spring day and I am so excited to work with Audrey and Spencer again this fall. Enjoy my favorites from their session!
