A Grand Hotel Engagement Session
Mary Kathryn’s mom, Kathy, has been one of my clients for many years. A mutual friend referred her to me for photography back in 2014 and I’ve worked with her every year since! It was at the first Cotillion Ball I photographed for Kathy’s business that I met Mary Kathryn. She was just a young girl at the time, but she was there helping her mom with the ball. As the years flew by, I found myself photographing Mary Kathryn and her brother. A few years later I took her senior portraits. I could hardly believe it when Kathy told me her sweet daughter was engaged!
To say I am excited to work with Mary Kathryn as her wedding photographer is an understatement. She and Shields are the sweetest couple. I can already tell their day is going to be full of JOY! We took these engagement portraits at the same place where I first met Mary Kathryn all those years ago. In fact, her wedding date falls 10 years to the month from the first time I met Mary Kathryn and her mom at that very first Cotillion Ball I photographed.
We had the most perfect spring weather for this engagement session! The azaleas were starting to bloom and the oak trees were starting to get those fresh green leaves. The golden hour glow was a DREAM! It’s days like this one that I pinch myself because I’m just having so much fun. Needless to say, narrowing down favorites for this blog post was a challenge!
