A Downtown Mobile Engagement

I can’t recall exactly the first time I met Rebecca, but she is one of those people that makes you feel like you’ve known her forever five minutes after you meet her. Last fall, I photographed Rebecca’s entire family for an extended family session and it was so much fun. At that time, she and David weren’t yet engaged. I remember thinking to myself, I hope they ask me to photograph their wedding one day.

A few months later, I received an email from Rebecca asking that very question! I was so excited the day she and I chatted on the phone. I already knew Rebecca was fun to work with and I was so excited that her wedding date was open on my calendar. Rebecca shared that she wanted a classic and timeless wedding. I love a bride who knows her style right away!

Rebecca and David are having their wedding reception at The Battle House Hotel in downtown Mobile. I love this location paired with Bienville Square. The mix of indoor and outdoor portraits on this hot August day was definitely needed. After we finished up with portraits downtown, we headed to Washington Square Park, where we were joined by Rebecca and David’s pups. Thanks to their amazing friends who came to help with the dogs, we got several framers in a short period of time!
