A St. Ignatius Catholic Church Wedding
Mary Frances and Turner had such a memorable wedding day! I have known Mary Frances’ mom for a while and knew this would be one of those days where I’d see many familiar faces. It was such a delight to run into couples whose wedding days I’ve photographed and their families!
This was a very hot summer day, but thanks to being at Fort Conde Inn for most of our portrait time, we were able to move inside and outside easily. The air-conditioner breaks were definitely needed and I love how many options we had to work with for photos in such a small area. When it looked like it was going to storm, we were able to move to the covered porch. The front doors of the main inn were covered in a beautiful floral garland by Belle Bouquet. It was such a beautiful backdrop and tied together all the colors of this day.
I absolutely LOVED that Mary Frances incorporated so much color into all her wedding day details. The bridesmaids were in various shades of yellow, pink and green. Everyone shopped for their dresses separately and the watercolor palette created by their varied selections was such a dream to photograph! The bright and joyful colors really contributed to the fun vibe of the entire day.
After a beautiful Nuptial Mass at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, we all returned to Fort Conde Inn for dinner and dancing. The bright yellow checkerboard dance floor matched the energy of The Tip Tops and the guests. Everyone danced the night away despite the heat. It was the perfect southern summer wedding. Cheers to the newly Mr. and Mrs. Griffin!
