A Sacred Heart Chapel Catholic Wedding

My team and I wrapped up our last wedding of the year last Saturday. We all agreed it was a great way to wrap up a fantastic year of weddings. Catherine was the most joyful and regal bride. Jacob was such an easy-going groom, who had the best reaction ever when he saw his bride in her dress for the first time.

This day incorporated two of our favorite venues, one of our favorite planners and stunning details throughout! On top of that, I got to see so many clients and friends at this reception, which always makes for an extra fun day.

I love that Catherine chose to get ready at her parents’ home in Fairhope instead of at the hotel. It did mean we needed extra time in our timeline for moving between locations, but it was so worth it because the photos from the getting ready portion of the day will be just that much more sentimental, which matches Catherine’s personality perfectly. Sentimental details were woven through this day. In fact, Catherine changed into her mother’s wedding dress, which was refitted for her, during the reception. Talk about a fun wardrobe change!

Sometimes November weddings are cold, but we were blessed with perfectly mild weather on this day, which was perfect for a wedding on the bay. Catherine and Jacob recessed out of the church just at sunset. We grabbed a few “Just Married” photos before heading straight to the Grand Hotel for the reception where Catherine and Jacob had everyone cheering during their first dance as husband and wife.

As we head into the holiday season, I am reminded of how fortunate I am to work with such lovely couples, documenting such special memories that they will treasure for years to come. Wishing you all a safe, healthy and blessed Thanksgiving!
