A Spring Hill College Engagement Session

Engagement sessions at Spring Hill College are always such a dream! Allison is a Spring Hill grad so she knew she wanted some portraits on the famous Avenue of the Oaks. The day of this session the light was perfect! Best of all, it was not super cold. January in Mobile can be a coin toss when it comes to the weather. We can swing from 70 degrees to 20 degrees in the span of a couple of days, or from clouds to sunshine in a few hours.

I had previously met Allison on the phone, but this was my first time meeting her in person. The day we met on the phone we talked a long time about our love of Spring Hill, traditions that are unique to St. Louis weddings (Allison’s home town), as well as her vision for her wedding day, which involves bringing family from all across the country together in Mobile for her and Andy’s special day.

While we pray for beautiful weather on Allison and Andy’s wedding day, you never know if it will be rain or shine with a spring wedding on the Gulf Coast. For this reason, Allison decided she wanted to take engagement portraits at the same locations we’d take photos on the wedding day. After all, there are so many beautiful spots on the Spring Hill College campus…why not take the opportunity to visit them twice!

I so enjoyed getting to know Allison and Andy during this session. I have no doubt their wedding day will be joyful and beautiful!
