A St. Dominic Catholic Church Wedding

When I was in Kindergarten, Lindsey’s aunt was my “eighth grade buddy” – what we called the kids who sat with us on Fridays during school Mass. Then, when I was in First Grade, her grandmother was my teacher for half a year and she would later teach me again when I was in high school. When Lindsey inquired with me for her wedding and I found out who her family was, I knew it was going to be a fun day.

Before the wedding day, Lindsey shared with me that she wanted to make sure to get some portraits at the Moulton Tower. The mural that is inside the ceiling of the tower features a painting of her late grandfather, Dr. Glenn Sebastian.

Dr. Sebastian was a well known and much loved professor at the university for many years. Lindsey shared that after his passing, it became a family tradition to take photos in this spot after high school graduations, which are annually held at the Mitchell Center. As it turned out, this spot had the best lighting for her and Bryant’s First Look. I loved that we started portrait time for this sweet couple in such a sentimental spot!

After portrait time on campus, we headed to St. Dominic Catholic Church for the wedding ceremony. Even though these two shared a First Look earlier in the day, Bryant was still emotional watching Lindsey walk down the aisle. I always say that there is nothing like that aisle moment and it really is the truth…there’s just something about the music swelling and the doors opening to announce the arrival of the bride!
