St. Dominic Catholic Church Wedding | Mobile, AL

The flower girl and ring bearer made their way down the aisle and the processional music began to fade out. A slight pause followed. It was only a fraction of a second. I could see Jessica behind the tinted glass, holding onto her father’s arm, waiting for the doors to open. Then, the music began again. Trumpet Voluntary filled the church with such a jubilant and joyful sound that tears nearly burst to my eyes. This moment always gives me goosebumps. I looked back at Justin. His focused expression broke into a quiet smile and, as I heard the doors creek open and the sound of the congregation stand, I knew the sight of his bride was the only sight he was seeing as I took the photo. As Jessica made her way down the aisle, her smile beaming and just as joyful as the music, I knew that this moment was everything these two had been dreaming of for the past year.

It was over a year ago that I first talked to Jessica. I remember the day we had that consultation phone call as if it were yesterday. I love getting to know my brides really well and from that first phone call that we had, I could tell that she was going to be such fun to work with and photograph. When I met up with her and Justin for their engagement session, I felt as if I’d known them forever. I felt so honored to work with this sweet couple and am so very excited to share this preview of their beautiful fall wedding! Every single detail came together so beautifully. This was also my first time shooting at Azalea Manor and I absolutely LOVED the courtyard at this venue. When it was time for us to do golden hour portraits, we found the most beautiful ivy-covered wall right across the street, which happened to be right in the path of the most gorgeous, dreamy light I’ve seen in quite some time! Such. A. Dream.

Jessica and Justin, I cannot thank you enough for asking me to be part of your wedding day. It was such a beautiful celebration of your love and I felt so honored to be the one to document this special day for you!
