I'm a hopeless romantic who finds great joy in creating and capturing connection and beauty wherever I go.

The first time I met Laura I knew that we were going to be great friends. We met up for coffee at Starbucks to chat about a wedding that I was second shooting with her. I had been referred to Laura by our mutual friend Kelly, who is also a talented photographer. Our conversation that day reminded me of those kind you have with your high school besties…
Ballet has always held a special place in my heart. I took my first class when I was around three years old and it was love at first plie. One of my earliest memories of ballet class is of me and my classmates sitting on the floor, legs stretched out before us and listening to “Miss Sue” call out in her lovely British accent, “point and flex, point and flex” as we warmed up our feet. Ten years of marriage is definitely something to celebrate and Toni and Ashton certainly celebrated in style. Brittany is 26 years old and faced with something that most of us will not face until we are in our 50s or older. She is the primary caregiver for her mother, who was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s three years ago. When Sam contacted me to schedule a portrait session, he told me he was planning a surprise for his girlfriend Ashley. The pictures were not the surprise. The surprise was a proposal! YAY!!! I could barely contain my excitement. Sam and I hatched a plan to put the session together so that Ashley wouldn’t get suspicious. She’d been wanting to do a portrait session with Sam for a while, so knowing they were having pictures taken didn’t make her suspicious that there would be a surprise. What Ashley didn’t know was that Sam was carrying a ring in his pocket for the first half of their session! The suspense was killing me!
