A Spring Garden Wedding
Charley dreamed of an outdoor spring wedding. She envisioned classic Southern florals, her bridesmaids in pastel blue and the groomsmen in timeless tuxedos. She imagined saying her vows to Ethan under an arbor that she and her father built together. When a family friend and former school teacher offered up the use of her property for the wedding, Charley knew it was the perfect place to bring her vision to life.
I arrived at Charley’s house the day of the wedding and found her hanging out with her girls. Everyone was so calm and cheerful! When it was time to get dressed, we headed over to the ceremony site and oh my goodness it was beautiful! One of my favorite moments of the day happened right after Charley put on her dress. We went out to the porch for her daddy to see her for the first time and it was just the sweetest moment. I could tell from the first day I met Charley that she has a special relationship with her daddy. We talked about her doing a daddy/daughter First Look during that initial meeting and I knew it would end up being one of the sweetest moments of the day. I think his baby girl took his breath away when she walked out in that dress!
Charley timed every moment of her day to take advantage of natural light and we were so lucky to have the most gorgeous Golden Hour the day of her wedding! We were able to get most of their portraits taken after Charley and Ethan shared their First Look, but some of the portraits we took during Golden Hour are my favorites!
I could not be more excited to share this preview of this gorgeous spring wedding! Charley and Ethan, thank you for having me be part of your day!
Right before we took this photo, the bridal party was attacked by ants! They were everywhere, even on some of the bridesmaid dresses and on the train of Charley’s dress! Fortunately, we realized it before it was a total disaster. Charley and Ethan’s friends jumped into action, brushing ants from Charley’s dress.
Ant invasion! Charley had the best attitude and did not let the ant incident ruin her day one bit! Just look at her smile!
Operation ant removal. This bridal party was on it!
